If I book directly on your website, does my credit card get charged straight away?
A credit card is only taken to secure the reservation; payment will not be taken at time of booking. However, if you wish to use this card to pay for the room you need to email reservations ([email protected]) for a credit card authorisation form.
Do you offer special rates if my company visits your hotel quite often?
We offer corporate rates for companies that stay with us more than 25 nights per year. For more information: email [email protected] or +64 4 913 1804.
Will your rooms allow rollaway beds and cots? Is there a charge?
The Quality Hotel rooms will allow a rollaway bed in to be placed in the room; the charge for this is $40.00. Cots are available at no extra charge.
I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
Please contact the company or website you made the reservation with to make any changes.
What is your cancellation policy?
If booked directly through the Hotel, you may cancel or amend your booking up to 24 hours prior to arrival (up to 6pm the day before) without charge. Cancellations after this time will incur a fee of 100% of accommodation for the first night. We encourage our guests to investigate the provision of Holiday/Travel Cancellation Insurance before commencing travel. On certain reservations a special cancellation may apply. If booked through a third party, please contact the booking agent directly for cancellation policies.
What age do kids stay for free?
12 years and under (if using the existing bedding in the room).
What is the minimum age a guest can book a room at CQ Hotels Wellington unsupervised?
The minimum age for making a hotel booking at CQ Hotels Wellington is 18 years old. If the guest is less than 18 years but more than 16 years, we may allow exceptions if the booker has written consent from a parent or guardian. If you look 18 years or younger, our staff will ask for ID upon check-in.
Do you have inter-connecting rooms?
Yes – In the Quality Hotel (Two Deluxe rooms or Queen or Twin Queen) and in the Comfort Hotel (Double and Twin). Please request this at the time of booking if required.
How many people can stay per room?
In the Quality Hotel, the Twin Queen Suites can sleep up to 4 people – either sharing existing bedding or will a rollaway (charges apply). In the Quality Hotel Executive Apartments, these sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children. In the Comfort Hotel, the standard rooms fit a maximum of 2 people per room.

What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?
Credit card, cash, direct credit before arrival, or Eftpos.
Is there a surcharge if I use my credit card?
Yes there is a 2% credit card surcharge fee.
How much money does the hotel authorise on my debit or credit card at check in?
The full accommodation charge for the duration of the stay plus $100 per room per night for incidentals.
How can the incidental deposit be made?
Either by one of the accepted forms of payment on arrival (apart from cheque and direct credit).
When will the incidental deposit be returned to my debit or credit card?
Credit Card - Released back on the day of departure, however it can take 3-5 working days for the funds to clear, Cash – refunded on departure and Eftpos – Clears overnight.
