Malaghan Institute of Medical Research is New Zealand’s leading independent biomedical research institute conducting vital research into finding cures for diseases such as cancer, asthma and allergies. CQ Hotels Wellington is proud to be a lab partner of the Malaghan Institute and help join the fight against these diseases.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common life threatening genetic disorder affecting New Zealand children. Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disorder which affects a number of organs in the body (especially the lungs and pancreas) by clogging them with thick mucus. At present there is no cure for CF, but the affected gene has been identified and researchers are working to find ways to repair or replace it. CQ Hotels is proud to support the Cystic Fibrosis Association of NZ as its chosen charity. The hotel supports CF by placing collection envelopes in the hotel rooms and creating special events at the hotel.
