If I arrive early can I check-in?
Early check-in is subject to availability and dependent on how full we are the night before. Please ask our staff on arrival if your room is ready and you might be able to check-in early.
Can I organise a late check-out?
Yes it is possible to extend your check-out time till 12pm and our staff will inform you if there is a cost involved. Extending your check-out time up to 2pm will incur a 50% charge or up to 4pm will incur a full room charge.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes we do and it’s free within the hotel and in your room. Please ask our reception team for the latest Wi-Fi code.
Do you have a swimming pool?
Yes and also a heated spa! It’s heated to 28 degrees year round and located on the 4th Floor of the Q Hotel. C Hotel guests can also use the swimming pool and spa.
Do you have a gym?
Yes - there is a gym available for use on the 3rd Floor of the Q Hotel. The gym is also available for guests of C Hotel to use.
How many hotel rooms do you have?
We have 115 rooms in the C Hotel and 62 Suites in the Q Hotel.
Do you have room service?
Yes - room service is available 24 hours a day. Menus are available in your hotel room.
Do you have activities for children?
For families with children under 12 years, we have kid’s activity packs on arrival plus there is a kid’s corner play area in our Piano Lounge – behind reception which has games, colouring-in, an Xbox game station and large screen TV. Perfect for your family accommodation stay!
Can I drop my bags off early or leave them with you when I check out?
You certainly can. We can store your bags in our luggage room if you arrive into Wellington early or if you have a little while before your flight takes off home. There is no charge for this.
Is there air-conditioning in the rooms?
The Q Hotel has air-conditioning in 35 of its north-facing suites. The C Hotel does not have air-conditioning. We do have fans available for use. If you staying in the Q Hotel and would like a room with air-conditioning in your room, please request this at no extra charge when making your booking.
Do you have a business centre?
Our Front Office team can assist you if you need photocopying (charges will apply).
Is my ID/passport required at check in?
Only if paying by cash.
I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?
Contact the Duty Manager to arrange this prior to your stay.
Are there safes in the rooms?
Yes in the Q Hotel. The C Hotel does not have in-room safes but valuables can be held at reception.
Do you have DVD Players?
Is the hotel earthquake strengthened?
The C Hotel was strengthened, and re-built in 2002-2004.The structure was designed and constructed to 100% of the New Zealand Building Code as of 2002.
The Q Hotel with the CQ Conference facilities were completed in November 2008 and also gained a Code of Compliance Certificate (CCC). As a new building, it met the full code of the time.
